Vällingklocka is a traditional bell that was commonly used in Sweden, especially on farms and in rural households, to signal that a meal, typically välling (a warm, porridge-like drink made from milk and flour) was ready to be served.
More broadly, it functioned like a dinner bell, often rung to call workers or family members to come inside for food. These bells were usually mounted outside the house or kitchen and could be heard over a long distance. Today, vällingsklockor are sometimes seen as nostalgic or decorative items in Swedish countryside homes.
