Karl Hugo Olsson (1905–1990) was a Swedish painter known for his landscapes, still lifes and atmospheric depictions of Swedish rural and coastal environments.
This vibrant oil painting depicts a traditional Bohuslän setting, with weathered timber buildings, red-painted wooden walls and a rustic log structure. The tightly arranged architecture and strong geometric forms create a particularly appealing sense of depth, while the bold colours and expressive brushwork give the scene a distinctly modern character.
